April 2-3 baseball action
Games from warrennolan.com along with RPIs as those are starting to be a little more stable. Plenty of opportunities to improve RPIs this midweek as CUSA is the "RPI underdog" in 10 of the 12 games. As well CUSA is the road team in 7 of the 10 underdog games.

Tuesday:
ODU (159) at Virginia (108)
MTSU (209) host Murray St (139)
WKU (171) at Vanderbilt (3)
USM (44) host South Alabama (98)
UAB (160) at Samford (132)
Rice (117) at Sam Houston St (41)
UTSA (151) at Texas St (56)

Wednesday:
FIU (180) at Houston (75)
FAU (94) at Miami (37)
La Tech (60) host McNeese St (122)
Marshall (201) host Western Carolina (110)
Charlotte (182) host UNC Ashville (166)

**charlotte's game was originally scheduled for Tuesday night but has been moved to Wednesday night due to anticipated snow, rain, and cold weather on Tuesday**

April 2-3 baseball action
Our second batter of the game hits a solo shot. It's 1-0

Texas State rallies with four in the bottom of the third to take a 4-1 lead after three complete.

RE: April 2-3 baseball action
USM started off good but has quieted down since.
Bottom 1 was: single, walk, walk, grand slam, ground out, walk, walk, rbi single

USM up 5-2 at home after 3

USM with probably most embarrassing performance of the season. After taking the 5-0 lead after 1 we proceeded to get outscored 15-1. Pitchers walked 11 batters and our fielders committed 6 errors. We end up losing 15-6

Rice up 11-5 in T9 @Sam.

Would be a nice road midweek win for us... We need to build some mojo the next couple weeks as our schedule is pretty friendly.

Assuming we hold on here, we’ll be 13-18 (4-5) with an RPI around 100.

The incredible thing is how horrible our defense has been across the field. You see 6 errors and with most teams would assume that the third baseman and shortstop probably committed 2 errors a piece.

Nope. We got errors from the catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, rightfielder, and leftfielder.

On the year, we have committed 45 errors--only 15 of which (not a good number, I realize) have been from the SS and 3B positions, which have been manned, largely, by freshmen. We've gotten 10 errors from our junior 2B (who, granted, is hurt), 3 from our senior first baseman, 4 from our senior and junior catchers, 6 from our outfield--including 3 by Wallner, and 7 (!!) from our pitchers

UAB beats Samford 7-2 and sweeps our series with them. That's the first time we have done that since 2014 I think.

Since falling to 3-6 at the start of the season, the Owls had been on a 17-3 tear.
