Cameron Bowles is transferring from Chicago State. That is a big loss for them.

RE: WAC off-season transfers...
Half of the Chicago State roster should transfer. This was a roster that produced a Net Ranking of #353 out of 353 schools. That roster needs an infusion of talent.

This is not surprising to me:

This could actually help. He could get some good feedback on things he needs to work on.

I suspect Milan Acquaah will return for his Junior season. He is a good scorer but a little undersized for the NBA. He will need to raise his stock even further in order to make NBA scouts look twice. He has a decent shot at garnering the WAC Player of Year next season.

I agree. He is not ready for the NBA. If he eventually makes the NBA, it will be as a point guard. He needs to get better defensively, as most players do, he needs to cut down on the turnovers, shot selection could be better at times and he needs to become a better leader.

On a side note, one player from the WAC has impressed in the NBA of late, and his name is not Pascal Siakam:

We have been following the recent exploits of Jemerrio Jones on our Aggie board with much fervor. So cool to see him in the NBA.

The Celtics signed Jonathan Gibson yesterday and he is eligible to play in the playoffs. Couple that with Zack Lofton seeing a few minutes with the Detroit Pistons early in the season and we have had 4 Aggies on NBA rosters this season. Not too shabby...

Well... no shoes have dropped at NMSU as of yet. As of now, these big impact transfers (Joiner, Toolson, Kavas) are starting to create a much bigger separation between NMSU and the rest of the WAC field.

I know he was highly rated, but losing Finke may not be horrible as some think for Canyon. I saw this story out of an Illinois paper.

http://www.news-gazette.com/sports/prep-...r-fit.html

The system was going to keep him from playing at his best. At least it was a mutually agreed to and amicable departure. I wonder if his sister will stay with the women’s team?

Hearing that Rob Blumberg may be transferring. No official announcement yet, just the word on the street. I believe that will be the last departure. That leaves GCU with 5 scholarships to fill. A grad transfer from San Jose State University was down to GCU and USC. He chose USC, which yeah... why wouldn't you.

Hope to hear something on the new Associate Head Coach soon. Guessing whomever that is may bring in a guy or two with him. Updates to follow.

Marvin Menzies. Blumberg will transfer. Majerle treated the guy like crap With the right coach he would be a steal. He would flourish for a Madsen or Pope.
