Greg Bowie? That's real bad if true.

EDIT: Yeah, it's real.

RE: WAC off-season transfers...
UMKC's transfers are now up to 11 with the transfer of Brandon McKissic today.

1. Xavier Bishop
2. DeMarco Smith
3. Rob Whitfield
4. Brandon McKissic
5. Steve Dulley
6. Kenny Strawbridge
7. Will Mangum
8. Jamel Allen
9. Jordan Giles
10. Brandon Suggs
11. Danny Dixon

Coach Donlon has his work cut out for him. But he has a lot of scholarships to work with if he adds the right players.

Also, I believe Tony Jackson, the roos only 3 star recruit, is retiring due to concussions. A terrible injury and just unfortunate. He is no longer listed on UMKC website

Of course I am by no means a Head Coach but if I were Donlon, I would focus at third of the available scholarships toward Grad transfers; just to get some senior leadership. The rest can be split evenly between JUCOs, D1 Redshirt transfers, and freshmen. He might have a short roster his first season but instead of waiting for a lot of freshmen to mature, it gives him a running start to be competitive right away. Outside of NMSU, it will interest me most to see what the new UMKC coach does to distinguish himself as a recruiter.

UMKC is in a interesting spot with a blank canvas and they could improve from last year thanks to this mass exodus.

Yup, and now for the first big hit in the WAC... Jarkel Joiner is transferring from Cal State Bakersfield. That's a big time loss!

Guess the future bus league isn’t that appealing?

That team is falling apart. They kicked Durham off the team at halftime of the Seattle U game in Seattle, sent him out the arena and this part just rumors, but apparently on a flight home with a team staff member. Now Joiner. Wonder if more come. No CIT run could save this team

So UMKC has two scholarship players, CSUB losing their only high level talent, RGV losing Bowie, GCU lost the 4-star..... If this continues it will be a 3-team race with NMSU, Seattle U, and Utah Valley next year.

Uuuhhhh. yeah, sure.... More like a 3 team race for 2nd place my friend...Seattle U, UVU and Cal Baptist. We all already know who is going to win the WAC buddy.

Yes, if he leaves they could have a small exodus as well. Coaching changes throw programs into chaos sometimes.

May have gotten poached, not sure. (One tweeter tagging Memphis St said "Get this done" and I hear maybe Ole Miss interested too....not surprisingly.)
Big loss, probably, but IMO this team (Joiner included) has consistently played with inconsistency all year ...and longer. Not sure about the Durham thing, but he was done at year's end anyway and not the leadership an upperclassman should have brought either.

The team needs a big rebuild regardless. I personally think Barnes has taken them as far as he can. Seems to me he's not getting what he should from the talent he gets. I mean, how can they be so poor in closing out some games they should have in the bag the past two years?

Barnes usually coaches a tough defense but his offense production has been less than stellar. It appears Barnes caught lightening in a bottle when he brought in players such as Basile, Airington, Pride, Smith, Wrapp, Mays, and Ahmed. However, Barnes hasn't proved he can sustain that type of success. Jans, Pope, Marjerle, Hill, Hayford, and Croy have proven to be more innovative as coaches than the old guard of Menzies, Dollar, Hipsher, Dildy, and Hunsaker.

Besides Greg Bowie II, according to Verbal Commits, Marlon William is also transferring from UT Rio Grande Valley; probably not a big loss given the amount of minutes he received last season.
