This is such a stupid response
a) so we shouldn't take it earnestly?
b) how does someone taking it earnestly make your point?
c) how does using the cost of one of the most expensive 'widgets' around an example of 'the value of human worth' ?
It's clearly the value of OVERPRICED worth
d) her 'guess' just shows how vapid and politically shallow she is. People aren't disposable, but Croissants are... especially $7 croissants. I can also do without Starbucks coffee opting instead for diner or gas station coffee, or even make it at home.....
So let me ask you (her) a question....
Is eating that Croissant worth 30 minutes of your labor? It sure wouldn't be to me.
Like the croissant at Laguardia, there are times and places where the costs and wages are justified... but unless she plans on increasing the cost of a croissant in Queens (or Bugtussle) to the same $7, then WHATEVER her point is, is pointless.
