Most ASU fans are very underwhelmed and many are pissed off about this hiring. He did very well as UCA, but was mediocre, at best, at Marshall. He is a Jonesboro native. I think they believe boosters (or, at least, one booster) made this happen (sounds familiar). Biggest knock seems to be he has been out of coaching for 2 years. I think he will do a "good" job for them. Problem is, a good job won't be enough for ASU fans when their biggest rival clearly has the best coach in the league and it isn't even close.
