UVa has tried to give a lot more money to Bennett in previous years but he declines it and just urges his assistants be given more. Money will never be an issue to keep him at UVa. It's other priorities to him. He will stay as long as he feels it is a good place for his family and for his sense of mission in life, spiritual and moral.

I don't think they are poor by any measure. They could be looking at an increase of $5 million (Bennett, assistants, other perks). That's 20% of the budget. UVa has money but an unplanned 20% hit to the budget hurts.

ps: I know those numbers are not exactly right.

Should be an epic game. Auburn and Virginia looked like twins in Their game play this past weekend. Guard play will be at fever pitch.

Tony Bennett could take a team of Pygmies and beat UofL. Still, I respect the hell out of him for what he does and how he does it.

The ACC is blessed to have what I believe are some of the finest men in coaching leading high profile programs. Coach Sweeney at Clemson, Coach Bennett and until recently Coach Williams at VaTech.

I will be rooting hard for UVa on Monday night, mostly because of Coach Bennett.

Almost forgot about Coach McDonnell here at UofL. A good coach but a better leader of men.

Congrats to Virginia and the Hoos fans. But my favorite outcome of today was MSU losing to Texas Tech followed by ESPN analysts bringing up a couple of times about how the Big Ten hasn't won a men's NC since 2000.

The streak lives on.
