Late night Saturday kick off times
It seems likely that with the expanded linear slots some of those will be late night (9pm ct) starts to help ease congestion and increase overall aac exposure by preventing overlap with other conference games.
Its officially the off season so speculation is in full force.
I would like to see Tulsa step up and offer to take these slots, especially early in the season when OU and OSU tend to have their games flexed into the day time 11 am and 2 pm slots.
We'll get more fans because of the weather, even in late October into November it is often not too bad, but in September it's actually a benefit. It also allows our secondary fans (some OSU fans in the area will probably buy some season tickets this year just for the game) to attend or at least watch us on television with the lack of a conflict almost guarenteed.
In that same vein I would also like to see Tulsa schedule well on fall break weekend for the public schools in the area and volunteer for that as a Friday night slot avoiding conflicts with the local high schools who tend to play Wednesday or Thursday that week.
The late night starts in those cases wouldn't be to harsh on families either hopefully preventing the emptying we have seen on Thursday night games because of work and school.
With the concert series with Cain's and other add ons I would think it would lead to a hyped up crowd and a great weekend experience.
Doing so also probably means a more "normal" schedule late in the season when the weather is better for day kick offs. Hopefully the build up of good night game experiences blends over as well making Tulsa games an experience for more casual fans.
