Taking the program of the decade that is the buzzsaw named Minnesota-Duluth to overtime is accomplishment enough.

What a great season. Saw the last time BGSU took UMD to OT was for the ‘84 national championship in quadruple overtime. And the ancient Jerry York was coach!

RE: Bowling Green Hockey
Apparently BG and Red Wings assistant Dan Bylsma are having conversations about the head coaching vacancy. Given Bylsma’s success in the NHL, having led the Penguins to a Stanley Cup championship and winning NHL coach of the year in a subsequent season, if BG is able to make the hire, it’d have to be seen as a coup for the program. BG has a large presence in the NHL now (three alumni are current GMs and several head and assistant coaches are former Falcons), I wouldn’t be surprised if the next coach comes from the NHL ranks. If nothing else, recruiting would benefit.

I wish BG the best. You guys were really on the ropes until Bergeron came around, hope you keep up the momentum.

Saw last night it's the 10th anniversary of Miami OH was in the Championship game and believe got BG coach.
Best wishes. On my way to Buffalo and will stay in Amherst outside University of Buffalo like I did on our 2014 football game. Maybe on Sunday try to get a peek at their basketball arena.

RE: Bowling Green Hockey
Thanks, they had banners for past Championship winners and notice the third banner in. Also the 2+ minute video of the opening has been posted to twitter, but it's only the first 45 seconds so the count down is missing and seeing both teams line up and UMD cheerleaders skating out. Will post the link to the video and attach the photo of past Champions, Bowling Green (-:
Unfortunately could not see the rest of the banners beyond Lake Superior State.

FrozenFour is in Detroit next year!

Minnesota-Duluth wins the national title. Bowling Green led them for 57 minutes in the first round, until the Bulldogs managed to tie it up by banging a goal in off one of our players' skates.

The Falcons are finally good again. I hope we can keep this going.

Broncos took 5 of 6 points from Minnesota Duluth this year, winning in regulation and in a shootout.

Both WMU and BG were damn close to championship level this year. Just couldn't quite make the jump.
