QB transfer from Cal

The day-to-day practice updates on the official website. Just taking it all in and appreciating.

ISU is in Iowa isn’t it?

Didn’t want you confusing them with the FCS school down south

I'm not confused. Of course "in-state ISU" is in Iowa. So is UNI, with which a certain DeKalb school is sometimes confused by sports media morons who can't be bothered with looking at a map. And I hope Napoleon is holed up in Paris. Send an email to Wellington.

Illinois State is a good team. They will beat us if we take them lightly. We gotta come ready to play because they're gonna bring everything they got like Eastern did with Garrapolo...

I agree, I live in Columbus, Ohio and Baker and his team are better than the highly paid tOSU announcers.

This is true which is why I’m worried about this game. New everything and they are a veteran team other than WR. The two positives I see for NIU (other than depth) are that our team has players that will want to prove something to their new coach and there is zero film for ISU to prepare for.

NIU is all about getting better for Ill St. Just listen to the players.

Nice! It’s crazy how many QB’s are looking for a new program.

I have a good feeling about him. Now if our WR, TE and RBs can get open and catch.

Goes to show our fans that transfers aren't exclusive to NIU. Any kid who thinks they can get a better opportunity is going to take it. Whether that be leaving Alabama or going to Georgia Southern.

USUALLY, only one QB plays in games. Other positions have more rotation. We usually rotate 8 on offensive and defensive lines. RB & TE go three deep. WR 6 or so.

Yea that's way more than I thought there would be. Side note - interesting they used the old NIU logo on there.

If a guy isn't on track to start, if he wants to wrap up his football life on the field, he's got to find somewhere else to do it.

Anyone have an idea when Bowers is supposed to arrive on campus? I would think it would be very shortly.

Once classes end, I assume he will head to Dekalb after taking a short break. I would imagine by June 1st he will be hanging out with teammates.

I would guess when the other players come back for summer school is when he’ll arrive.

Its definitely a good chance for them. NIU is in rebuild mode and Illinois State is maxing out. This was their best year to catch NIU
