UCLA as a 6-seed finishes the 2Q on a 7-0 run to close to within 5 of the 2-seed UConn. (26-31 at the half).

Not „off-topic“ since we‘ll be here next year if we beat some of these teams.

UConn completes the comeback and a 69-61 win. UCLA has taken a 5 point lead in the third.

Nice run for UCLA, who (like Rice) finished as a much stronger team that beat Rice in LA by 9 early in the year.

Meanwhile, on the men's side, Duke has to have a horseshoe up its a** after these last two games. Virginia Tech misses a wide-open bunny from a foot to tie with a second left.

Baylor led by 30 but SC is on a 24-14 run in the last 7+ minutes to get within 20 (72-52) by end of 3Q.
Still probably nothing coming of it but an interesting run. Baylor’s probably already playing the bench

WOW your Aggies are all tied up 42-42 at the half against Notre Dame.

These are the same Aggies that needed a last second shot to beat the same Marquette squad that needed OT to slip past Rice.

A missed opportunity this year. The team is at this level, but maybe just needed more tournament experience. It could easily have been Rice in this position. Hopefully next year we can be even better.

Aggies had it tied at 67, but ND pull away to win 87-80. Looked like a ND home game in Chicago.

It was. Chicago has more ND alums than any city in the country, and by a very wide margin.

Missouri State is coached by a fairly young Tennessee alum. She wins this game, and I bet you she becomes the front runner to become the new UT coach.

It’s good to be a #1 seed.

STanford survives despite one of the absolute worst shooting performances I have witnessed in a long, long time. The Cardinal couldn't hit anything-- not layup and certainly not 3-pointers (where at one point they were 1-15)...and many of those 3-pointers were wide-open looks. Missouri State's defense was not particularly strong.
