2020: Allentown, PA for the 3rd straight year, 90 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

2021: Fargo, North Dakota, "midwestern" this time as Loveland, Colorado nabs two Western bids.

I loved the regionals in GR. Great hockey and fun area. Unfortunately attendance was terrible. Very poor promotion effort.

If GVSC had a club hockey team the tourney would be heavily attended and they’d all go there and say it could win the NCHC.

GVSU has a club hockey team. And played a game at Van Andel this year. They play their normal games at Griffs West.

That and you lose money bidding on NCAA regionals. It's a $150,000 bid and the NCAA keeps the lion's share of sales. The only other bids in the west this year were campus sites by North Dakota and Wisconsin (because no one bid in 14-15, Notre Dame got to host one so why not try it)

It was a joke, we used to tell those before people got their feelings hurt all time time.

They're supposed to be funny.

Nice of you to work in a stupid right wing talking point though, even though your "joke" didn't border on offensive in the least.

So what is the incentive for schools and civic promoters to bid if they take a bath on the event?
