Doc Sadler contract news
https://www.hubcityspokes.com/sports-sli...hree-years
This season, fifth-year Southern Miss basketball coach Doc Sadler turned in his best season on the bench since he’s been in Hattiesburg.
It was good enough for Southern Miss to allow his contract to roll over another year, Southern Miss interim Director of Athletics Jeff Mitchell confirmed with PineBeltSPORTS Friday.
According to Sadler’s contract, the university had five days after the final game to either allow his contract to roll over one year, or decline the option. Since interim Director of Athletics Jeff Mitchell and Southern Miss President Rodney Bennett took no action, Sadler’s deal is back to a three-year, expiring March 31, 2022.
Sadler’s salary doesn’t change, and he’s set to make slightly less than $350,000 of base salary every year until his contract expires.

Three years is fine, assuming we can scrape together $350,000 if he can’t build on this year. This deal itself is better than renegotiating every so many years for a new one. Leave him on it until he actually does something that matters. Progress has been made, but we expect progress. Now surprise us, coach.

I’m fine with this if they start fixing Reed Green. Whoever is next needs a 2019 arena to recruit to. Period.
