We were the only other team, besides Duke UNC and Kentucky (the SUPER TEAMS!) that got good publicity. Thanks you Coach Hardaway! They never once mentioned that Watford, Hurt or Achuiwa were interested in Memphis. Not once by name. Watford did mention us as top 5 with Indiana, Duke, Alabama and LSU in the final interview after the game. Announcers seemed to be paid to steer the undecided to Duke UNC and Kentucky. It was pitifully biased towards those teams.

What I found funny is almost every single player on the floor had the same cornroll/fro thing going.

Talk about fashion trends lol. Everyone was sporting that.

ESPN can't even identify him correctly at a Tiger game. Why should this be different?

I think espn’s talking heads are beyond caring whether they look and sound foolish. I think they are doing exactly what espn wants. Just one opinion, but if you’re trying, you CAN get smarter. They aren’t.

I think Williams is thinking of a guy like Tony Barone when he makes comments like that...

Barone, former Grizzly Director of Player development who went to Duke, was a vocal supporter of taking kids from “big time” conferences and programs. It might also explain why the Grizz were so pitifully inept in the draft.

ESPN should be embarrassed about last night. The "lists" they had were so inaccurate it was laughable. And it wasn't just Trendon's list. It was Matthew Hurt and I'm sure there were others.

I also heard Jay Wiliams argue that "super teams" help elevate a player's draft stock because they don't have to carry the load. I guess he forgot about Ja Morant likely being the No. 2 pick.

A school has very little to do with where you get drafted. Whether you go to Duke, Memphis, LSU, Oklahoma, Utah, etc., if you're good enough you'll be noticed.
