I purchased a Jolly Roger flag and hat from the MAC store. Partially because they're cool and I want them ... partially to play around with Jolly Roger'ing all the MAC teams. I suppose you guys are good with hoisting Bronco skull and crossbones here after beating a B1G team again?

BITD the school colors were always known as "Seal Brown and Olde Gold."

The first use of a yellow gold (sometimes called "Green Bay Gold") was in 1965 when Doo got new uniforms for football program modeled to look like LSU's.

If you look you'll see the hex code for brown matches WMU brown on this site. The hex code for gold matches a different page I found that had WMU gold listed. That page has WMU Gold mix ... so not the standard pantone WMU gold.

Brown & gold are unfortunately tricky colors. For various reasons (new spice, brown apparently being a pricier color than black, coaches prefrences to model after other schools, minority opinions brown & gold just isn't a 'cool' color combination), we've strayed from it, at least from an athletic side. I had thought I was on Central Michigan's page at first (I've grown used to the Purdue gold and the brown looked maroon at first).

But when I think of our school colors, these are exactly what I think the school intended as founded.

Indeed, they're still the colors from an academic standpoint. Notice on that website how far black is down the list & specified it can't dominate the Primary colors.

I like it! I hated it until I cleared my cache. Now I love it! lol

Well, in the unlikely event somebody from the WMU Athletic Department happens to be reading this and thinks the same, I'm sure I can work out a mutually agreeable arrangement along those lines. I wouldn't ask a dime of WMU, just the unrestricted ability to freely use for CSN indefinitely.

FWIW I still have my game jersey from when I played many moons ago.

It is a dark brown. From the university pallet linked above I would call it Metallic Brown.
