Well connected throughout NY going back 40 years, plays very similar style to Buffalo, 6 NCAA’s + 2 NIT’s in 9 seasons, only 1 of 2 coaches in MAAC history to earn an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament (other was 1995).

When Alabama didn't make the ncaa and then got embarrased in the opening round of the NIU at home by Norfolk State (an 8th seed and only the 2nd time in NIT history that an 8th seed has beaten a 1 seed) that they would be looking for a new HC>
