Perhaps U of Buffalo can hire Mike since they now need a new BBHC.

AND a jab at the attendance! Well done! Took you all long enough to mention that one. I was beginning to worry about your all’s well being since no one had brought it up yet.

A large majority of UAB fans are fed up with the status of our basketball program. The tone of most discussion is going to be negative. BT is no different than Facebook or Twitter in that regard. To have a positive outlook requires a willful suspension of disbelief that has grown impossible for most to maintain.

01-ncaabbs01-ncaabbs01-ncaabbs

People act like we're crazy for being negative about the basketball program in it's current state. We can express our opinions without being rude or demeaning to each other. However, that doesn't change the fact that there's very little to be happy about right now in regards to basketball.

I don’t disagree that the program’s in a bad state, it just gets tiring to read the same thing with Ehsan and the attendance repeatedly.

Ultimately, I realize everyone here loves the Blazers as much as I do, I’ll never question a fellow fan’s loyalty or intelligence, unlike.... well you know, he who shall not be named (the banned one). Debate is good, it means we both care about the program, we just have differing opinions on how to improve it. I just wish the constant Ehsan/attendance bashing would be limited to one thread.

So, You are telling me, that Ingram is going to keep Rob around after that dismall attendance, give him is buyout and say thanks and good bye and hire a real coach and get the program back.

I agree it sucks because it gives the impression that our fans are so divided when really we have more unity of purpose than in a long time. It's just primarily focused on one sport, football.

I think BlazerMatt is dead on when he identifies the lack of trust in our leaders as the ultimate cause of our fan conflicts. If we had a President and AD that we trusted like Bill Clark, then more fans would have faith that men's basketball would eventually turn around.

I feel like I can since I have had season tickets for 10 years, missed 3 games in the timespan, attended countless road games, holiday tourney's etc. So yeah, I can mention the place was a shell of itself and that I would say "hey pretty good crowd tonight" with 2800 there.

I do too. I also like the two kids we have signed and hope we can close strong. In on some solid transfers.

There are about four threads on the subject. Asking it to be confined to one is a bit much but four is not.

Can't remember, but Chad Jackson's son went to Arkansas and may have considered UAB as well at some point.

Not sure if he has eligibility left or not.

Would consider Ingram the higher profile transfer option with no reason to turn down Petty or Lewis if they were interested either.

It is quite interesting that Pearl is where he is & Anderson, Drew, & Johnson are out of jobs partly as a result of Pearl's lack of punishment by Sankey.

And that's great you two, money well spent lol.

There was a player from PV that transferred to Mountain Brook. I think it was someone named Jones.

That's him. 4star guard, I think. Class of 2020. Looks like UAB has offered.

Strange thing.

I think Pinson won it all in 6A even with Jones transferring out.

Yup. PV has made some good coaching hires lately. The kind that bring state championship caliber players with them like Bo Nix and Kam Woods.
Love to see Kam in Green and Gold.

RE: Mike Anderson officially out at Arkansas
If we get grad transfers, they are short-term fixes for next season. I realize we need those--to plug some holes--but we can't keep counting on those, and have to recruit some players that we can develop (like we are Scootie, Guaye, Lovan and even Pearson and Jude).

The question is, can Ehsan afford to use scholarships to take in transfers who have to sit out a year, when he has to know his heinie will be on the line to perform next year?
