- Houston- 2 scholarships- but likely done for 2019 players

- USF- 0 scholarship - but might bring in 0 to 1 players..not looking/in need for immediate impact players

- Cincy- 1 ship left- looking to add 1 or 2-- offered numerous grad transfer/transfer guards (looking for immidiate impact)

- UConn- 2* ships left- adding 2 or 3 -- the most touted recruits that they can land

- ECU- 5 open scholarships- looking for everything, heavily in the juco market

- Memphis- 1 scholarships to give- likely adding 2 to 4 players - most touted recruits they can land

- SMU- 1 ship left- likely adding 2 or 3, heavily in juco/grad transfer market looking for immediate impact players

- Temple- 1 ship left- 0 to 1 player likely added, most likely non-immediate impact freshman

- Wichita- negative 1 scholarships to give- likely to add 0 to 2 players- after high immediate impact guards, touted recruits/juco

- Tulsa - 2 ships left- bringing in 2 or 3- best available players the can get (likely heavily JUCO, some grad transfers)

- UCF - 0 ships left- in on 1 big recruit, theyll take him if they land him, but likey done if they dont

- Tulane - 3 ships availanle (will change)- ron hunter just got the job, no clue who he is targeting

Aubrey was a walk-on this past season and likely will be again if he decides to return, leaving us with 1 open at the moment.

Wichita is at zero. Chance Moore transferred mid year and his scholarship was given to Eli for a semester. So that one plus the two seniors

Gregory has a chance climb into the Top 4 of the leauge and get a first round bye over the next couple of years.

Maricevic will be a senior next year, too, but I still think we should be in good shape in 20-21.

Temple is very much in up-in-the-air mode, as we could lose several to transfer, and gain transfers or recruits. There's also the issue regarding Trey Lowe's scholarship being converted to a medical hardship scholarship.

Lose:

Alston
Aflakpui

Gain:

G James Scott (redshirted after transferring from Kennesaw State, averaged 17.3 PPG)
F/C Arashma Parks (redshirted his true freshman year)
G Damian Dunn (freshman)

Returning for now:

G:

Rose
NPL
A. Moore
Jackson
Lowe

F/C:

Hamilton
Moorman
D. Moore
Perry

Kwintin Williams 6-7/221/PF

Players Outgoing - Transfers/Others

None as of 3/26 (I expect there could be some changes here)

Players Incoming

Jalen Gaffney 6-2/170/CG/FR 4*
James Bouknight 6-4/180 SG/FR 4*
Akok Akok 6-10/195/ PF/FR 4*

Staying:

Alterique Gilbert 6-0/180 PG/RS JR
Christian Vital 6-2/177 SG/SR
Brendan Adams 6-4/196 SG/SO
Sidney Wilson 6-7/177 SF/SO
Tyler Polley 6-8/200 SF/JR
Josh Carlton 6-10/235 C/JR
Isaiah Whaley 6-8/210 PF/JR
Mamadou Diarra 6-8/225 PF/RS JR

UConn currently has 1 scholarship open for next year. They are down to 12 scholarships for the 2019-2020 season.

Thank you.

Only SMU, Tulane, UCF, Temple, and Tulsa remains.

I'll update Tulsa in a few days as we may have some changes coming up.

We have an international player and a transfer sitting out. We had a player leave mid-season.and may see a couple others enter the portal.

This week a former 4 star who was at LSU then Juco is in town. We signed a good point guard out of Cali and lost a 6-8 freshman forward to K-state after he was a verbal.

I expect a juco or transfer big man and probably a freshman big to be high priorities. We may be looking at a local kid who has done really well but has been under the radar and recently backed off a commitment. Probably not a world beater at all but Tulsa has done well with that type of local over looked kid.

Interesting. I cant believe Enoh stays. He couldn't get off the bench to play over Parks and Davenport. No way he plays over Wiseman & Dandridge

Also in a pinch --- don't forget Penny has his son on scholarship. If we need it to add another recruit I can see him paying his own way.

RE: 2019-2020 Season AAC Roster Tracking - Input Requested
UC:

Starters:
Cumberland (AAC player of year contender, may get some preseason AA looks): star level player
Williams: should be a solid AAC level player
Scott: will have solid to great sr year
Brooks: will have a solid to great Sr year

Samari Curtis: 4star frosh...we'll see. He is a 6'4 guard and was Mr. Ohio this year in hoops. Mick usually doesn't give frosh a lot of minutes. So again, we'll see.

After that:

bench full of projects per usual: hopefully one or two of the projects are 'ready' (Diara or Nsoseme etc.).

Outlook: UC wins 25 games, contends for the AAC and loses the opener in the Big Dance as a 6 or 7 seed.

Book it.

As of now UConn only has one scholarship next year as they lose one as part of their NCAA penalties from Ollie for next year. I expect they will have more than one once things transpire in the next couple of weeks.

Tulsa

Outgoing:

Sterling Taplin G 6’1”/195
DaQuan Jeffries F 6’5”/230

Transfer:

Zeke Moore G

Incoming:

Isaiah Hill G 5’ 11”/160 3* Freshman

Returning (for now)

Chris Barnes G 6'4"/200 Junior
George Christopoulos G 6'0”/167 Freshman
Simon Falokun F 6' 8"/240 Junior
Peter Hewitt F 6' 10"/225 Junior
Jeriah Horne F 6' 7"/222 Junior
Martins Igbanu F 6' 8"/235 Senior
Darien Jackson 6' 2"/189 Junior
Elijah Joiner G 6' 3"/200 Junior
Reggie Jones G-F 6' 6"/210 Junior
Lawson Korita G 6' 5"/200 senior
Curran Scott G 6' 4"/208 Senior

This is the current status for Tulsa. Classification is what they will be next season. Jones is a transfer from Western Michigan who sat out this season. I included one walkon (Christopoulos) because of reports from some who have seen him play he may be on scholarship next season, he redshirted this year. Some are expecting more transfers but if not we have 1 or 2 scholarships to give next month depending on the status of Christopoulos.

I’ll let Forever update roster changes.

Temple picks up a commitment from 3* PG Josh Pierre-Louis, brother of Nate Pierre-Louis. Josh was originally committed to UNLV, but released after Marvin Menzies was fired. JPL also had offers from Dayton, ECU, UGA, UMass, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, St. Joe's, Tulsa, La Salle, Miss State, Saint Louis, Xavier, Wyoming, among others.

Lol thanks Nevada I just didn't want to type it up.

Reds are the most likely transfers, but there may be a surprise. So far I think we have had a surprise player leave every year starting with our Aussie going pro a few years ago. Tulsa rivals does a great job of keeping track, had a former 4 star who left LSU and JC visit and there are some others visiting.

The incoming recruit played on a top Adidas circuit team with a bunch of good players where he served as a great facilitator. Lit up the high school scene and filled it up as a scorer. Should be a good one.

NPL is a player, hopefully his brother will be a strong contributor, good list of offers.

How is the new coach doing with the Philly kids? I know he played for the Sixers and Temple so I assume he comes with some instant credibility.

St Joe's new coach is also tied to the Sixers. Big 5 coaching minus La Salle looks strong. Gonna have some recruiting battles in Philly.
