He finally did send out two quick tweets a few hours ago - one simply said 'Good morning, have a great day' and one said 'Make America Great Again.' Those were his first tweets of the weekend (in Florida, but that's never stopped him before from going on a tweet rampage)

The silence could mean one of three things.

(1) He's finally going to grow up and stop posting infantile tweets
(2) His staff has finally succeeded in destroying his iPhone
(3) The Mueller Report maybe isn't as lovey-dovey as people here think?

ETA - for the record, as I've suggested all along, I don't think the Mueller Report will do any damage to Trump himself. But I do think it might be damaging to some of his associates, and more importantly to the President, to his children.

Any other possibilities?

This is going to be a huge victory... let everyone else gloat initially and then you can gloat on Monday or whenever... because if you gloat now, it will appear that you had some inside information and perhaps lessen the impact.... plus it's a weekend and you'll get more mileage on Monday

hence the 'have a great day, MAGA' tweet because he can't help but get a jab in, even if it is only an inside joke.

I don't think he's matured... but I do think he may be showing some delayed gratification in order to extend the gratification.

As to 'close' damage... with no additional indictments there can't be anything in there any worse than what the left has already claimed was there and 'the left' bought hook-line and sinker and 'the right' didn't care about. Trump would be on the offensive if that were the case IMO.

As I write it, that makes even more sense to me. By Monday, the talking points and spin will be out from the left and Trump will want to meet that... not waste it on relatively dead air. I realize he hasn't always done this, but this is a BIG one for him (win or lose)

Trump may try going Presidential on this. The investigation is over. It's time to put this aside and work on what's good for the country.

It's a way to passively oppose more investigations and gain the high ground on behavior.

When the Democrats refuse to drop it, he maintains the moral high ground. I have already been cleared, it is time to move on. These people are more interested in attacking me than they are in helping our country.

I don't know whether it will be a nothing burger or not. I'll wait to see. I suspect that is the prudent thing for him to do as well.

I would like to see the same rule applied evenly to the other side, as I have said from the start. To me the "insurance policy" and the Steele Dossier story and the FISA court improprieties are far more suggestive of sedition within our government than the "Trump Russia collusion" narrative ever was of attempts to rig an election. I don't know whether that is going to happen.

Considering Mueller *has* indicted on a smattering of unrelated 'real' offenses and a literal crap-ton of process offenses, nothing seems to hold him back on that point. But the morons keep repeating the 'sitting President' theory like I see some 'scientists' talk about ancient alien gods as being the reason the story of Noah's ark is true.
