Austin's first game with the Darcia Vikings will be webcast tomorrow @ 11:15 am (I think) when it is played @ 4:15 pm Austrian time. I don't know if he will start, but I'm assuming he will play. They have 3 QB's.

I had a difficult time downloading the app to my android tablet, but I think I've got it now.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai....orftvthek

Live webcast: https://tvthek.orf.at/live/Austrian-Foot...s/14007539

This is the team's 1st game of the season which was rescheduled from earlier in the week due to poor field conditions.[/b]

RE: Austin Herink
From the Darcia Vikings American Football Club website:

At the Opening Game of the Dacia Vikings, the Viennese Hosts won a never endangered 28:7 – Success over the Czech Champion, the Prague Black Panthers. In an Encounter marked by numerous Penalties, the Vikings always kept the Rudder in Hand and could not be put out of the concept By the Interruptions. At the Premiere of the new import quarterback Austin Herink, a total Of 4 touchdowns were scored by 3 different Viennese Receivers and Running-backs!

Gameplay:

Already in their first Drive, the Dacia Vikings go into the Lead after pass from Neo-Quarterback Austin Herink (#8) to Wide receiver Bernhard Seikovits (#4) with 7:0 (additional Kick Christopher Kappel #2). With this Intermediate status, the Pages will also be changed for the first time. Shortly afterwards, the Vikings visit the Prague End Zone once again: QB Austin Henrik completes a sensational 30-Yarder on WR Philipp Dubravec (#17), the Extra Point by Cap sits again – 14:0 Vikings! Even before the Cabin, the Viennese Raise once again: Running-back Marco Gagic (#5) leaves the Prague Defense on the left and scores the third Touchdown of the Game (PAT Christopher Kappel) for The break of 21:0 Vikings.

After The Restart, the Viking Defense shows once again: Ugochukwu Uwakwe (#45) secures a ball Loss of the guests, but the following drive of the Viennese Ends in a Turn-over. The Course of the Game in a row is characterized by numerous Interruptions and Penalties, which are almost exclusively taken into the Account of the Prague Guests. In the last Part Of The game, Prague, via Matthew Vinal, manages to connect to the 7:21 from The Point of view of the guests. The Vikings promptly reply: QB Herink serves WR Seikovits with a Dream pass over 39 yards to 28:7 (Additional Kick # 4 by Kicker cap)!

So Austin is the starter and took every snap. Interesting to watch; called in German with English football terms. It's not the NFL, but glad to see him get this great experience. I spent 10 years in Salzburg and Linz, so I'm sure he will have a great time over there.

RE: Austin Herink
There's interesting potential there long term for football guys that maybe still want to get paid to play the game, similar to European basketball. If the Euro teams were willing to do it, some of the AAF guys, undrafted players, washouts looking for a 2nd chance, etc... they could be interspersed amongst those types of teams and the sport could grow over there similar to the way we've seen soccer really grow over here.
