RE: Is the SPLC done?
Let's hope so, I posted something about them a few weeks back but I didn't think it mentioned any of this.

Always entertaining to watch SJWs go at each other with the long knives, but this article didn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

RE: Is the SPLC done?
Mississippi Man Pleads Guilty To Hate Crime Hoax SPLC Used To Slam Trump
Quote:After the 2016 election, the Southern Poverty Law Center accepted every accusation of racism or sexism provided to it as evidence of America’s decline after electing President Donald Trump.
But even before the election, the discredited “anti-hate” group was sounding the alarm on any story that could be used against Trump before waiting for the actual details. On November 2, 2016, the SPLC’s “Hatewatch Staff” posted a story titled “Authorities Suspect Voter Intimidation in Burning, Vandalism of Mississippi Church.”
The article was about the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church being set on fire and the words “Vote Trump” spray-painted on the side of the building. SPLC also mentioned this incident in its massive list of alleged hate crimes following Trump’s election (the vast majority of which were allegations from people reaching out to SPLC without providing a shred of evidence for their claims).
Eventually, the SPLC had to append an Editor’s Note to its story, which reads in big bold letters: “In December 2016, a suspect, a member of the church, was arrested in connection with the crime, and authorities now believe the attack was not politically motivated.” The title and original article remain.
The man who actually set the fire, 47-year-old Andrew McClinton, is African-American and a member of the church. On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to arson, according to the Associated Press. He will be sentenced in late April.

Famous civil rights group suffers from ' systemic culture of racism and sexism,' staffers say
LOL
https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/29/us/splc-l...index.html
(CNN)Some employees at the Southern Poverty Law Center say the legendary civil rights nonprofit group suffers from a "systemic culture of racism and sexism within its workplace."
The SPLC, which has been on the front line of the fight against racial inequality and injustice in the United States since 1971, has been thrust into chaos after allegations over its treatment of minority and female employees.
The claims have been followed by changes in its leadership and a company-wide review

RE: Is the SPLC done?
What I get from the article is that a lot of people go to SPLC with the right intentions, only to find out the harsh reality... that sometimes the people who claim to be most interested in 'helping' minorities and the poor are the ones trying to prop them up as victims so they can run a scam.
The work represented by the goals and idealists in the SPLC is laudable. Their leadership and the hypocrisy is infuriating

So the SPLC is just a miniature version of the Democratic Party?

That was my subtle implication

It's not the purpose to me....
It's the methods.
I have no problem with a group whose intention is to get black people to support black candidates.... 'because they understand the issues important to black people'. My problem comes when (trying to sum it up in an obvious way) instead make everyone a victim of racism and everyone who doesn't support them a racist.
The things that matter most to black people most often matter to people of other races as well. It's most often about circumstances (poor, limited opportunities etc etc) and not race. What PUT them in those circumstances MAY WELL have been (let's be honest... most times, was) racism, but the solutions for a poorly educated person because of racism are mostly the same for a poorly educated person because of say parents who were drug addicts... to get an education.
and then of course preying on 'guilt' and dividing us by race is just abhorrent.
and yes, I have no problem with a group whose intentions are to get white people to support white candidates, so long as their methods are equally honest. As noted, the meaningful problems that most white people have are common across racial lines.
