2005 - 12 seed
2007 - 12 seed (at large)
2010 - 11 seed, 1st round win
2011 - 9 seed

2019 - 14 seed

Great example of subjective metric that aged horribly. Look at the number of at large mid majors by year and get back to me about whether you think it's a metric that proves what you think it proves.

ODU basketball in 2019 is what it always has been, an inconsistent winnng program with an occasional tourney appearance. 12 appearances in the dance with an avg of 2.5 years separating each participation.

The one characteristic that all ODU teams have is a propensity to let the opposing team hang around til the end. This was clearly evident in the Jeff Capel era where his teams would often be ahead for most of a game only to lose in the end. Jeff Jones was a bit fortunate this season.
