Women’s NCAA
The ladies should have a thread going since we have TWO dancing.
UB with a great 13-2 run in the final few mins to break open a back and forth game. They took care of #7 seed Rutgers 82-71.
Now the bad news, in order to make the Sweet 16 again, they’ll have to pull the biggest upset in WBB history. They face UConn on sunday on the Huskies home floor. UConn should be a #1 seed but they were ok being #2 in order to play in their own arena.
CMU on deck for Saturday. Keep it going as the MAC is 2-0 overall today in all NCAA action (just had to type those rare words)

RE: Women’s NCAA
CMU vs. MSU is on DirecTV (think it is 788) and ESPN3.
At the half, MSU by 3 in a high scoring game (43 - 40).

MSU wins by one. Central Michigan just couldn't get a stop when they needed one. Teams traded baskets for the last several minutes. Then, on the last possession, CMU should have put the ball in Kelly's hands sooner. I understand that Hudson and Frost got the Chippewas where they were, but Kelly is the only one who can create a shot with a few seconds left on the clock. Great game, though. Certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

While it’s not the NCAA tournament, Ohio beat Middle Tennessee State 59-57 in the WNIT second round today. They’ll host a third round game Thursday against Western Kentucky or Morehead State.
Good luck to the Bulls tonight against UConn

Nice push by the UB women. UConn went up 15-0 only a few mins into the game. Dillard out now with an injured ankle but now within 11 still a good amount of time left.

Great effort by the Bulls tonight. UConn in Storrs is unbeatable. Besides the very early 15-0 blitz, UB outscored UConn 72-69 over the last 3 1/2 quarters. Hey Not Bad!

Good showing by UB and Central, plus Ohio has won two games in the WNIT and is still alive.

Definitely kudos to the MAC WBB programs. All three teams have shown very well...

Buffalo’s highly successful and popular coach Felisha Legette-Jack has interviewed at Penn State and maybe more. She’s likely moving on like Oats. What a bummer if that happens.

Ohio has now won 3 games in the WNIT to reach the Final 8. They got their 30th win on the season and will now play @ Northwestern on Sat for a shot at the Final 4

Congratulations on a 30 win season. OU should have been in the NCAA. Putting #59 RPI Tennessee in was a joke. None the less, Ohio has taken advantage of getting home court. Northwestern is certainly beatable. Also, that was the largest women's crowd tonight that I have seen at Ohio (haven't seen all their games, but have probably watched at least part of half their home games).

RE: Women’s NCAA
I'll be interested to see how Ohio fares at Northwestern. In the NIT's second round, Toledo had a 38-22 lead over Northwestern midway through the third quarter, but then the Rockets completely fell apart. Northwestern did not seem super talented offensively, but they played great defense.

RE: Women’s NCAA
NW was not as good this year as the Michigan State team which beat Central in the NCAA by one point on a neutral court, probably more similar to the Purdue team which OU beat in Athens.
