RE: Jacob Evans
Anytime a Bearcat is picked in the first round and has a chance for an NBA Championship ring in his first season, it's good for the player and good for the University of Cincinnati. Here's hoping he gets to play more in the coming years, but both of those are points of pride for Bearcat fans already.

Jake and Gary's last season was UC's best chance to make it to the Final Four since Kenyon's senior year.

Idk Livingston’s situation but he is starting to get up there in years, although still plays at a high level for a a short period in games.

Next year is Livingston's last with the team. Could be resigned for the minimum but his age makes that doubtful. Iggy is also up after next season and makes significantly more then Livingston. i would be interested in seeing how big a pay cut Iggy is wiling to go to resign. i think it's likely that neither return. Obviously they are going to max out Klay who is up after this season; and i imagine that KD is leaving.

i agree that next season is huge for Jake. The team has options in years 3 and 4 of his contract. He's cheap and has some versatility as they list him as a SG but i imagine he can also play the SF position so it's not unrealistic that he sticks for the entirety of his contract regardless of his contributions but after that?

I could be mistaken, but I think I read recently that Livingston is contemplating retirement. All the serious injuries he's had in his career have really taken a toll.

Wouldn't be surprised. All things considered, he's had a remarkable career.

I think JE3 was drafted knowing Livingston was on his last legs and that Klay was a FA. I think this was always looked at as kind of a redshirt type year. I'd be surprised if JE3 doesn't have a good NBA career just given his measurables and his defensive ability. If he can get his shot back to where it was his first 2 1/2 years in college he's going to be fine.

If he can be a really good three point shooter in the NBA he'll have a long successful career. He has too much else going for him.
