WMU's Buster Bronco to appear on CBS comedy 'The Neighborhood' Monday
KALAMAZOO, Mich.--Western Michigan University and its beloved mascot, Buster Bronco, are featured in an episode of the CBS comedy "The Neighborhood," airing at 8 p.m. Monday, March 25, Eastern and Pacific time.
Starring Cedric the Entertainer as Calvin Butler and Max Greenfield as Dave Johnson, "The Neighborhood" depicts two newly neighbored families getting to know each other in a Los Angeles community. Dave, who hails from Kalamazoo, moved his family from Michigan to LA, becoming next-door neighbors to the Butlers.
In the episode in which Buster Bronco appears, a CBS news release states that, "When Calvin and Dave's college basketball teams go head to head, Dave surprises the Butlers with tickets to the game and also invites one of his best friends from Michigan." This Michigan friend reveals surprising new details about Dave.
According to CBS' description of "The Neighborhood," the sitcom offers a view into "what happens when the friendliest guy in the Midwest moves his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone looks like him or appreciates his extreme neighborliness." Cedric the Entertainer's character, Calvin, "is wary of the newcomers, certain that the Johnsons will disrupt the culture on the block."
Catch the show Monday, March 25, to find out what happens in its latest installment.
"The Neighborhood" also stars Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears and Hank Greenspan.
