Is that just bad luck, or more to it? Honestly just asking. I think it is mostly a talent thing in my opinion.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be zero sum. Would have been nice to win today because it would have shown concrete progress in a "rebuilding" year.

I didn't see us getting past Tenn though.

I think I will wait to next year if he gets Cumberland back. Another early exit, I think I am there.

Agreed. Maybe a one time outlier, but 6-11 is a pattern

Can’t recruit, can’t adjust, makes excuses when he loses, not likeable by fans, can’t win in March w/ NBA talent. No accountability for his staff that either sucks or retires early due to arrest.

We deserve more.

Yes we do. We had over 10K fans at a NCAA tourney game. Mediocre teams don't do that. Alot of P5 schools dont do that. This fanbase cares about this program, it is just hard as hell to constantly support it financially and with time when Mick consistently underperforms.

Kind of where I am at as well...if we go 10 years in a row to the NCAA Tournament and only have ONE Sweet 16, then this program is clearly accepting its role as a mid-major top 25-35 type program. This was supposed to be somewhat of a rebuilding year, but next year is the put up or shut up year that will determine my support (financially / emotionally) in a Mick Cronin led basketball team.

You're giving him another year?

Hope springs eternal.

Bad luck and bad situational coaching

Lack of talent after first six players. Unless your top five or six are Duke, UK, or UNC level we need depth. More than anything else in our tournament losses UC faded in 2nd half of tournament games. It actually started in Huggins last few years and has continued under Mick. We don’t have the 1990’s level talent.

Last two season was the closest UC had to actual real talent. We need NBA level players or at least a bunch of G league guys. We had one all conference level and that’s is it.

Mick gets them to play hard, heck of a job to get into the tournament this year but they need more talent for next season.
