Just so painfully obvious that everything about him reeks mid major. His recruiting, his offense, his defense, his in game coaching, nothing is gonna change. His gaudy record would be half of what it is if we consistently played in a major conference. If mid major season or conf. titles are your cup of tea, then he is your guy, I WANT MUCH MORE. WE DESERVE MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can knock his recruiting and offensive sets but you cant knock his defensive schemes.

we are doing just fine. We lost to a very good big 10 team that shoots 3's exceptionally. Coach Cronin brought UC out of the ashes of oblivion after taking over a disastrous non-recruiting year by andy kennedy. We'll be just fine. We have the most victories over the past 3 yrs except for Gonzaga. 9 straight NCAA appearances, dude. Expecting uc to win the national championship every year is not going to happen. Kentucky doesn't even see that happen with all their money power and cheating. Maybe you would rather see UC in the NIT and winning that one. I DON'T THINK SO. Congrats on a great year, Coach Cronin, and next year might be even a better year. Continue with your recruiting of good, decent young men that love school. We see where Huggies is at now.

that was something like 1-7 down the stretch with a 20pt loss to Rutgers.

Please.

His defensive schemes suck against good 3 point shooting teams.

this...and he admits it. It's by design. He said in an interview the other day he learned in the Big East if you are running around trying to defend both the 3pt shot and the paint, you end up sucking at both. So he drawn a line in the sand and said you won't score on us in the paint, and forces teams to beat him with the 3ball. It's not a bad idea in theory from a shot % angle but this isn't 1955. Teams now have multiple guys who light it up from outside. This happens to us...a LOT. And esp. in March.

Look, this style doesn't work in March. I've said it and will continue to say it. I'd take a Xavier type team all day. Look at Nova last couple national runs...teams full of guys who light it up....fast offense. Ya, play some defense but its not the crux of the team or 'who they are'. Well, those teams advance more times than not and we exit stage left early.

Way past time for a change. I understand Mick is safe but the rest of the staff needs a serious upgrade.

RE: CRONIN
Relax we were suppose to be trash this year. Brooks got hosed on fouls which led there one good player to go like 9 of 11. Also, they shot around 50% from 3 which I expected over 40%, but I did not expect us to shoot like dogs a$$. Looking forward to next years team they should be real good (Add along a little rivalry from Memphis and it will be a fun year).

The improvement of Brooks and Scott this year was great.

I expect Keith to play a little more consistent game to game.

If you can't tell Logan is a winner although I expect mistakes early.

I don't see Cumberland leaving so there is two winners.

Looking forward to what Diarra can bring with another summer of putting on weight and getting consistent playing time. He has the natural ability.

Fredericks will be our dog.

Nsoseme prolly will be about what he is now but who knows.

Samari just won Mr. Ohio.

We will be alright!

Thanks to Jennifer and Broome for having a great senior year compared to expectations! Cronin great job coaching. You will need to start pulling a more elite recruits to go on consistent runs.

Is Rick Pitino still looking for work? Maybe put a leash on him so he can't wander as far as the kitchen when he dines out at Italian restaurants, and assign a team of whistle-blowers to him and to his assistants so their recruiting creativity stays in bounds and conforms to accepted NCAA norms.

I don't expect a national championship every year, I would just like to be in contention once in a while. It's not going to happen under Cronin.

I actually think the defense took a step back this year. That may have been due to the personnel.

Alright...can we just call Mick on his bluff this year when he plays "just the tip" with another team? Either way, we win...we arent giving him more money for the same result, or we get a program change.

Exactly, this team was better then it was supposed to be and lived on the edge all year. If you constantly win games by less then 5 point it doesn't take much to swing the game. Unfortunately, several things went bad this game. We had a ref who had it out for Brooks, Iowa hit 50% from 3 and we couldn't hit 3's. Combined that was enough to do us in. This game was pretty much a toss-up and we came out on the losing end, but the season as a whole was excellent.

Next years team should be much better. Brooks and Scott became very good players and can become stars next year. Cumberland should be back. We have an off-season to continue to improve with minimal losses. And we add three players (Curtis, Prince and Hardnett) the two redshirts have the size to sub for Scott and help prevent us needing to play small ball.

We will be a bigger, more athletic team and should be improved offensively as well. We will be a clear favorite to win the conference. Williams will be the key to us being great, need him to improve his 3-point shooting and become a threat off the dribble.

I am fully aware thar we can regress if Cronin moves on. But I would be willing to take the chance. My gut tells me give him next year with Cumberland as a Senior. If he cant get to the seeet 16 I feel like he has to move on.

I'm a Cronin supporter but I wish we were signing kids that were too good to use a red shirt on. There are a lot of projects on this roster.
