They fired Bryce Drew. True, he didn't do very well, but the early season injury to his 5-star point guard certainly took the wind out of the season. Someone else will snap him up and look like a hero.

I think Drew is a good coach and I'd take him in a second if we had an opening. Still it is hard to keep a coach who goes 0-19 in conference. Also his record has gotten worse each of the 3 years he has been there. Finally, there is a new AD, who did not hire him, and may want his own guy.

It is really rough when you land a 5-star point guard and then lose him early. Part of the game.

While we don't know about signing 5 stars. we know a lot about injuries.
