Is he getting P5 looks? I hadn't heard of any significant looks/offers/etc. from any D1 schools.

Looks like Charles Bassey may not be going to NBA next year. 3 defeats to ODU may have hurt his draft status. I hope we don't have to see him again.

Bassey hasn't announced anything yet. He'd be crazy to at least not test the waters.

If he sticks around he will be quite formidable by the time pod play comes around. Here's hoping we can get a transfer big to shore things up.

I'd be shocked if announced his intention to transfer to the Flagship of the CUSA.... OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY!

RE: Future of ODU Basketball
The future of ODU basketball will be great, once we secure a point guard, another center and another really great player. (Hopefully!) This waiting is the hardest part but I figure we won’t hear much till May, possibly June.

Between Kith and Wade, I think we are good at PG for the next 3 years!

Could definitely use another center to develop.

I really don't see Wade as a point guard. I think we could get away with Kithcart as a PG in this system, but that is a bit questionable in my mind. Would love to have him as a combo guard that occasionally slides over the point.

Wade played a lot of PG last year and has the basketball IQ to be a game manager. I assumed that was JJ's vision. I agree about Kith.

RE: Future of ODU Basketball
Im not sure about "played a lot of PG." What point guard mins were left over when Caver was not playing? Or Kithcart?

Wade is a smart player. He has not shown the passing/distributing skills of a traditional point guard. All he really did last year was take it from the wings and attack the basket.

Operative word was looks....not offers. Couple of Big East and lower ACC. There is a chance he could reclass/prep.

Jones himself has said numerous times they are looking for a point guard. All I need to hear.

Those of us who like Levelle Moton can breathe a sigh of relief. Tennessee assistant Rob Lanier got the Georgia State job.

I would be happy to give Moton a chance. I think he's got the "it"

They also lost their coach. All that and yet W&M still beat us again anyway. 03-hissyfit

RE: Future of ODU Basketball
All we need is a stud center and we will be a force next year. This is what we’re looking at:

1: Curry (sen) and Hunter (soph)
2: Green (sen), AJ (jr), Wade (jr)
3/4: Reece (jr), Kalu (jr), Wade (jr), Greeks (jr)
5: ?

Next year is extremely promising if we can just land an impactful big.
