If we slide one sport in at a time they will never notice us becoming a full sports member.

So it begins! 05-stirthepot

Pretty inevitable when UConn moved to the Big East, giving them seven programs and the AAC five. The only other program that could have moved from the BE was Denver, and they're way out of the footprint compared to ODU.

And Denver is a better lacrosse program than us.

True. It could have been that the BE wanted to keep Denver instead of ODU. Though from an institutional standpoint ODU has much more in common with the AAC lax players than Denver (except Vandy). But for single-sport affiliations it probably just comes down to convenience and travel.

Maybe we can move all our sports to the AAC, and let football do its own thing.

Id be just fine with that. Thrilled actually. The only thing better would be having football in it too. Id take the same deal with the A10 too.

As long as C-USA sponsors the sport, it would be against NCAA rules.

This is true. Worth noting that with Cincy dropping the sport and UConn moving to the Big East, the AAC will be down to the minimum six programs. Wonder if they'd consider an AAC/Big East style swap if the AAC lost another program. It'd have to be Kentucky or South Carolina since they're the only affiliates in either conference. Or they could merge and do divisional play, though CUSA men's soccer is more Eastern-heavy anyway.
