I get what you're saying, and agree the Cavs got some calls. But, they also bagged some huge shots when they had to have them. Pearl was actually very forgiving in his comments about the double dribble, foul, etc. Says it's the human element, that players, coaches and officials make mistakes. And he added that people need to "get over it."

My second sentence is factual and should always be acknowledged as the primary factor among many factors resulting in Virginia's NC. An unsullied banner will be raised, but incompetency put it there.

The nice thing about whining about the officiating:
In October when the raise their banner, nobody will remember who officiated the game, including Tech.

Which one is that?
He's not a regular, so not sure his exact name. But he's quick to pop-in and remind us when UTK is outperforming us. Usually shows up in all SEC-related threads. Supposedly played baseball at Memphis.

Hopefully, the NCAA will remember and hold the officials accountable.

Cry me a river. Great game. Good guys won.
Emotion aside, Virginia would not have won the game at that point if the Refs correctly called the double dribble. If you disagree, we are at an impasse.
The DD was actually a pretty simple call. Ref standing right there. Another ref on the other side. They didn't have to worry about 10-second count, 3-seconds, shot clock, or anything else. Basically just follow the ball. Inexcusable that 2 refs (who graded out higher than any others in the tourney) could both miss that.
But it's part of the game, and you just have to get over it. The foul call, I have no problem with. Even if Guy is a bit of a flopper and exaggerated it a bit. Truth is, the defender hit Guy in air as he was releasing, so it most certainly impacted his shot. (BTW, did you see the hard fall Guy took last night? He got up holding the back of his head and grimacing like he hit it on the floor, but replays clearly show he did not. Such an actor!)
Coaches also have to re-think the strategy of fouling just because you have fouls to give. It didn't eat-up time for UVA, it seemed to continuously give them time to setup.

He'll reach the required minimum age limit of 12, or a parental gaurdian must sign off on the bracket.
Age limits are tough, I remember when I was his age I had to wait to get a Driver's Permit until I was 15.
You have to be tall enough go on an adult ride at a theme park. I'm still surprised he's allowed to have an account here.

Yeah, I suppose. But that also dismisses x-amount of calls earlier that also might have benefitted the Cavs. If those had been called, and I'm not referring to anything specific, Virginia's not in a position to benefit at game's end.
Point is, a lot of things happen in a game to determine the winner. It's easy to point only to calls at the end.
They may reach #1 in the rankings during the regular season, but they have a designated campfire song they sing their NCAA repeated post-season failures.

I can agree with a lot of that. However, double dribble calls are pretty easy to spot. And I doubt there were any such calls earlier in the game that were missed.

Bad calls toward the end of a game have greater weight than bad calls toward the beginning because there is less time for refs to whistle make up calls or for teams to overcome the ref’s errors. It is similar to the “opportunity wedge” concept.

Kids these days carry smart phones to school.
I don't think he's turned 12 yet best I can tell.
I can't recall I've ever met another individual older than 12 years old that's said to me:
"Yo Mama."
That's not typically a response from one grown man to another grown man that have both grown a pair of furry ones.
Certainly not beyond Junior High/Middle School. That was 20-25 years ago.
