Looks like another Jekyll and Hyde performance on the offensive end.

Poor ball movement relative to ULM. We dribble, a lot.

I hate the memory of this game lingering for the off season. Without a doubt, the worst coaching job that I have seen in Sendys career. He looked as lackadaisical as the players. There is no one who should be proud of this effort. I am sick and thankful that this season is over.

D has been an issue all year, when the other team shoots 60%+ from 3, you are not going to win many games. Had one bad stretch and it cost them. Good year overall.

Walker takes 17 shots, 0 assists after 19 shots and 1 assist vs CMU. Avery walking the ball up the court down DD most of the 2H. Yeah, lets move on from this group.

If you were going to go down in flames, why not play the guys who will be returning? Uninspiring effort. Did not look like a team that won 22 games. Disappointing.
In retrospect, the Flashes should have ended the season after the loss to CMU.

Obviously, I didn't want them to lose, but I'm glad this season is over. Despite the respectable W-L record, they never seemed to really gel or even play with any consistency. Unexpected departures (ADL), injuries (Pippen and Avery), suspensions (Walker, twice) and disappointments (Duling and Peterson) made for what seemed like a long season, at least to me. Hard to believe they actually won 2/3 of their games somehow. There were certainly KSU teams with a lower winning percentage over the years that I enjoyed watching more.

Good game guys. Y’all are a talented team and we definitely know we beat a good team tonight. Our guys just looked like they were more excited to be playing and wanted it more. Good luck to you guys next year!

That’s because we were only 11-9 once Conference season started. The non conference season is now a distant memory.

So Jalen Avery had an ugly 33.5% 3-point shooting average for the year [and also an ugly 38% 2-point average] - yet he tosses in 7-12 from 3 when the game doesn't matter as much. And how can you be 7-12 from outside the arc and 0-4 inside the arc?

I think ... if you look at individual stats through early February you will see in particular Avery and Walker were waaaay above where they finished up.
That's why Kent won so many games early on that many (me) expected them to lose. Avery's dive started before his injury .. but still got worse afterward ... Walker's slid began the closer he got to having a shot at the scoring title.
Bottom line remains the same ... flawed as both of those guys were ... to get 22 wins as seniors with the notches (Vanderbilt, Oregon State, Akron) they got - and as little help as they had - says just as much as their stats/percentages do.

Yes - and while it's hard for me to say a 22-win season, 4th seed in the MAC, 1st team All-MAC isn't good enough, I'm still not quite satisfied. It's probably that you remember the last few games the most, and we ended up on a 3-5 run.

Well said!!! .... And no MAC (Kent) fan should be satisfied!!!!

"Ugly" seems like an awful strong word to characterize 33.5% shooting from three. There were only 4 teams in the MAC that shot above that as a team. (I'm not counting us or Buffalo who shot 33.7 and 33.6). I think saying Avery's 3pt% was average but not spectacular would be more fair.
