Former coach and players reflect on Rice’s first two NCAA tournaments
Nice article on the Rice blog with recollections by head coach Cristy McKinney and shooting guard Jenny Cafferty from 2000 team, and Amber Cunningham from the 2005 team.

Anything is Possible: Former women’s basketball coach McKinney and past players reflect on Rice’s first two NCAA tournaments

Yeah I just read that story and was going to post it as well. Nice recap. It's also nice to hear what Coach McKinney and the two former players are doing. Cafferty got to attend one of the Final Fours (it might have been 2000) and participate in the 3-point shooting contest (where she did very well - I can't recall if she won it or not). I hope the current players heed their advice, and don't get too caught up in the accolades they've received thus far. There is still work to be done.

We enjoyed chatting with Cristy at the baseball Supers in Raleigh. She said she enjoyed her years at at Rice greatly.

Yes, Jenny won the women's three-point contest -- and then beat the men's champion in a grand finale.
