1 Chris Mullin
2 Johnny Dawkins
3 Bobby Hurley

It ranked them based on entire career, including NBA.

Penny or Mullin? At his NBA best Penny was better but Mullin had a longer pretty productive career.

Next year if Georgetown does not make it, we got this.

Mullin was likely better than many of you remember

Penny

https://www.basketball-reference.com/pla...ich01.html

Mullin averaged nearly three more points a game in a longer NBA career. Penny had 1.5 more assists and a half rebound more per game and seemed better at his peak.

Mullin was a five time all star to Penny’s four times

Penny’s best season likely his 21.7 ppg 4.3 rebs 7.1 assists
Mullins best season likely his. 26.5 ppg 5.6 rebs 4.1 assists

I love Memphis and love Penny, but sometimes we can be a bit provincial.

OF COURSE INJURIES HURT PENNY, but that is not the question

I think at Penny's absolute peak, he was a better player.
I think Mullin had a better career.

It's a pick 'em, but one is in the HOF (Mullin) where one, for good or ill, is not.

Both at their peaks in the NBA, Penny would have DESTROYED Mullins one on one. That is all.

Overall in college basketball I think, Ewing is obviously first, then Penny’s likely competition is Mullen, Manning, and Stoudamire for the 2 spot.

At his peak, Penny was better than all of them, but Danny and Damon probably had better careers.

Patrick
Mullin - HOF would trump all but Penny did lead his team to the finals
Penny
Manning
Stoudamire - who I think is on the Bench at Arizona. (He's been to Memphis before as an assistant. If one the assistants leave, would he be interested in returning if Miller is gone at Arizona's?)

I didn’t realize that Damon had left Pacific (tough place to coach, I assume).

My bad...Damon is still as Pacific. The video of Sean Miller I saw must have been old. I assumed they wouldn't use video from years ago but I was mistaken.

So Omar Sneed is a better basketball player than CDR? He averaged more ppg.
