I had intentions of driving down to check out our new Monarchs at the Spring Game but rain seems to be in the forecast so I think I'll skip this one. For anyone in the Hampton Roads area, could you offer a more local perspective on what the weather is going to do tomorrow?

If that's a representation of what's to come tomorrow, then not good. I guess I'll wait until the Summer.

As much as I love ODU Football, I probably wouldn't drive from out of town to see the Spring Game tomorrow. 70% chance of Tstorms at 3pm (the lowest chance in six hours). It's not an actual game, so cancellation is a greater possibility.

Spring Game in a lightning delay

We will see how much it matters, but Smartt and deWeaver have really good arms.

I see Smart with a slight lead for starter. Either way, I think we have a more than adequate QB and can take that concern off the table.

Any more word on the spring game?

Im of the opinion that you cannot take much from it......but:

Fitz looks like he makes the right throws. Had a long run. Doesn't have the best arm and isn't as fast as the others. I can't figure out if we have a game manager in him or his a future starter.

Smart and DW both are athletic with very strong arms.

The WR core needs playmakers. That group has a long way to go. Davis and Knight were incredible.

Based more on what I've heard (staff) and not as much on what I saw, but Smartt seems to have the edge right now.

Was the offense better or defense, or was it a wash?

Really ? Don't forget they were playing against an ODU defense. I think we should wait and see before we take the QB concern off the table.

It’s all about the lines/trenches. How does our o-line look? A solid o-line w/Lala in the backfield will cure a lot of sins.

Did I see Nigel Fitzgerald (88) on crutches? Seems he has been injured his whole time here. Supposed to be a real player.

Mayo on crutches, Nigel is still recovering from foot injury, I believe.

My take on WR's
Patterson looked to be the #1 receiver
Kumah will definitely help this group TE's will definitely need to carry some of the load. they are young and need game experience.
