Their offense is terrible. If we can throw strikes we have a chance (even if it is just a "plucky midweek" upset).

From what I hear they are throwing a lefty tonight. DiCaprio is still out, Frazier in a 1st after a short stint on the DL.

Insert generic Rice cannot hit lefties stereotype!

Just kidding.

In all seriousness, winning this game could give the guys some serious momentum. They need to remind themselves that they belong.

I wish we'd catch Frazier and put Collins at first. Hopefully Collins will be able to walk by the end of the season.

I believe Frazier is still nursing a hamstring or other leg injury. Would expect him to resume some catching duties once he is at full strength?

Strained knee.

What's Comeaux's status? He's out an awfully long time for simply a "stiff knee" after falling on the OU dugout steps after misjudging the foul pop.

This team HAS to stop striking out so much. Put the bat on the damn ball and force the defense to make plays. Disgusting offense.

A&M up 3-0 in the bottom of the 2nd.

Consistency certainly isn't a strength. We'll have some good pitching for a stretch, and maybe some good hitting for a stretch, but rarely do we have them both together (we never have good fielding - we're consistent about that). Still 4-1 in the 5th - Rice with just one hit. Bordwine got rocked, but Gayle had a very solid relief effort (2.2 IP, 0 H, 5 K). Now Greenwood is in, so things could go south from 4-1 in a hurry.

Geez. 10 Ks and only 1 hit through 5 innings (against a midweek pitcher), and you wonder why no one's watching or interested?

A&M has a deep pitching staff but this is unacceptable. Strikeouts have been a major problem all year regardless of competition, and it makes the broadcasts tough to listen to.

High frequency of strikeouts is unacceptable and you'd think the coaching staff would be working on their approach at the plate, but what drives me totally insane is the ridiculously high number of strikeouts looking, especially on 3-2 counts, and in most cases, the pitches are fastballs right down broadway. This is on the coaches at this point.

Our play on the field looks about as good as the awful uniforms we have on.

Greenwood throwing batting practice once again. Has he had even a solid outing since the first week of the season? I don't think so.

Doubt it, his ERA is really bad even with the URI series.

A&M steals home 03-drunk 7-1. Please hit the ball...

1-2-3 for Wood. 7-1 A&M going to the 7th.

The defense has been excellent today. Hopefully they play like this in more winnable games.
