Look at assist differential.

Brown had 18 assists, and UAB had 6. Incredible, and yet UAB still had a chance to win this game.
i watch the game ,,,,the run the same play over and over ,,,,,they were small inside
they shoot so many wide open 3

It was already apparent that Sully could play. He was way ahead of Pearson (and therefore Jude) as a freshman. He wasn't red-shirted because he wasn't ready for D1 ball.

Jude was also woefully out of shape coming in. They probably figured it would take a while for him to get in shape
In any event we'll have him for 4 more years...

Probably won’t be any outrage for losing a cbi game

So about this comment?

Two pages of post-game griping on an 8 page game thread. No personal attacks on Ehsan. One coaching search thread with 19 posts. I'd call that apathy instead of outrage.

I wish there was outrage about the state of our program. Too few are passionate about UAB hoops anymore to generate more than a ripple. Maybe a dozen folks griping in a couple of threads on one message board. Maybe that many on Twitter.

A lot of folks have UAB basketball on Ignore until something changes.

I really think it has more to do with doubts that a new coach would be much better in UAB's present situation. If UAB's boosters saw another Clark type BB coach on the horizon, they would demand a change. No such obviously better choice is now apparent to the fans so they tolerate and cross their fingers for another season. Bama seems to be in the same boat.

Mods, this guy now adds a bammer reference to every thread. Its not new, but is getting worse. I thought for a while that he was senile because Im an optimist and like to think the best of people. But it is intentional. Troll.

I know he has posted here forever, but do we really have to have his favorite cesspool of corruption referenced in every thread? Particularly considering recent history. This is still a UAB sports board, not a UA system board, right?

It definitely detracts from the quality of the board experience for actual UAB fans. Just an observation, mods.

Since when has it become a test of a Blazer fan's loyalty to demand vituperative hatred of even the mention of Bama. That kind of behavior would seem to support the worst attitudes of the remaining Bryant,Jr faction on the BOT.

I have never felt that supporting the Blazers required such abandonment of my feelings engendered over decades before UAB football even existed.

Can it be supposed that such a Blazer "fan" could abandon UAB at some future time for some new "flavor of the month" program just as they demand of me?

RE: UAB at Brown
A good point to note: Some school paid $2.8 million for a coach (as well as paid/recruited some top players) and still aren't getting it done. This school gets millions of dollars to use as it wishes and it also draws several thousands of fans to its games.

What would be the selling point for UAB to another coach?

You made me laugh. Finally, after all these years on the board. Vituperative. Hilarious. Thanks.

I have no problem with you loving the evil empire. So does my dad. I dont want you to abandon UAT. I just dont want to constantly read UAT references on this board, particularly when most of the references are pointless insertions. Really,’ in a thread about UAB vs Brown basketball what makes you think that UAB fans want to hear that Homer Smith from Alabama FOOTBALL has a divinity degree from an Ivy League school?

Its not complicated. Talk about your beloved UAT on a UAT board. Talk about UAB on this one. Please.

Why do I care? In general,’UAT represents the very worst example of corrupt but successful college sports. More specifically, elements of their fanbase, boosters and board have caused enormous harm to not just UAB, but to our entire state. I could argue at length that UAT and the power base that flows from that cesspool is the ball and chain that keeps huge portions of Alabama operating at just slightly above third world status. My enmity and disdain for UAT is boundless and extends far beyond sports. UAT is a cancer that eats away at the prosperity and health of our state. And that may be sugar coating it.

So yeah, I dont want to hear about them daily on the UAB board. I think that is reasonable.

A good time to remind people that “ignore user” works great and can save you from having to read posts from users whose comments you have learned through exhaustive repetition that you have no interest in.

Sorry, but I missed the post where this thread asked to ban someone. My hope was that a moderator would remind the bama poster this is a UAB board and UAB fans dont want a constant stream of bama memories. Thats all. Im ok and have no more to say about it.

Why do you think this board is becoming lonely, particularly following the first football championship and bowl win in UAB history? Just curious.

Either use report a post or put him on ignore. Second I do know why as most that have left have told me. And it’s not from him. Third keep moderation issues and or request private and again use report a post or pm one of us directly. Move on please.
