25-8 overall record.
2nd in conference
5 seed.
I don't think 4 more wins propels us from out of the tourney to a 5 seed.
Our OOC schedule likely will not have as many highly ranked opponents next year.
LSU top 10 team...UTenn Top 10 team and TTech top 10 team. Our OOC schedule likely will not top that.

Looking back at some of the records of 5 seeds I can see your argument but I expect for most of their loses to be early with a few lengthy win streaks towards the end. Think they’ll be a hot team going into the tournament and grab a 5th seed by of it but there will be people that think it might be kinda high. Also bump my win total up 1 to 26.

High end: 2-3 seed
Low end: 7-8 seed
I'll go with the middle and say a 5 seed with a 4-6 flex.

RE: For fun, predict what seed we’ll be next season in NCAA Tournament
I think the team will be better next year than this. Maybe 3-4 games better overall. Having 5 freshmen in the roster will prevent them from being even better.
We will lose our best player this year, then we will lose our best player, most likely, after next year.
But the team will improve both times. This time because of sheer upgrade in talent which should overcome the heart Andy age of the current guys, who I really like.
So next year about 24-10 instead of 21-13 and around a 7-10 seed.
It is 2020-2021, Penny’s third, with JUNIORS Lomax, Harris and Jones with sophomores Dandridge and Jefferies and company, along with whatever freshmen are coming in, that we make a play for a top 4 seed.
And if a Jefferies plays well enough to leave us after one year, that will mean next year will be even better.
Getting those extra 3-4 wins would mean a win or two over a ranked opponent and a likely top 3 finish in conference.

Don't see us getting a preferred seed unless Wiseman is a Zion level talent or another one of the guys is vastly underrated.
Now if we get more 5*'s I reserve the right to change this prediction
I did say lets assume Penny finishes off the recruiting and puts together a good roster.
I don’t see us being an 8, 9, 10, or 11 at all. Imagine how a number one seed would react to playing us as a 8 or 9. I’d imagine they’d be irked. And rightfully so. But you’re entitled to your opinion.
I think he has a good Roster right now even if he doesn't add another player.
But I just don't expect college Freshmen (minus Wiseman...He's an NBA freshmen) to come in right away and win @ a high level. So there will be losses early that will hurt our seeding.
It takes time to put things together as we have seen this year.
Cinci is 27-6 and predicted as a 7 seed.
There might be looses early that will hurt our seeding but we won’t go winless early, so if we split the games early vs good competition, our seeding can’t be harmed that much. We aren’t loosing to every ranked opponent next season. As it was this season we came close quite a few times with less talent than we’ll have next season.
But again, that’s my opinion and gut feeling on the matter.
I’d rather have talented freshmen than second year junior college guys, that mostly are good roll players. That’s just me. Not a knock on them, having good roll players is important, however if you have all roll players with only one star or all conference player, it makes beating really good teams hard. That changes starting next year. Plus Penny will have his guys.

RE: For fun, predict what seed we’ll be next season in NCAA Tournament
2-4 seed
There’s a huge discrepancy between skill sets of players from team to team in college basketball as we saw this year when our team matched up against better teams and we saw the stark contrast. There’s no one I think that can match up against Wiseman in the AAC and in some of the OOC games next year. Not saying he will dominate like Zion or Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley but his high end talent will force opposing teams to focus so much on him that it’ll create huge opportunities for the rest of our talented players and improved players [Alo knows he can lob it to the Big Ticket and Dandridge and they will most likely slam it in].
Yes they as a team won’t have a ton of experience and that will hurt at times but their talent level collectively will overwhelm other teams

I am going to say between a 6 seed and 8 seed. Anything lower would be a very nice surprise.
