There's a lot of national interest in Bassey. Makes for a great story. the NIT is a tournament always in search of great stories. I believe WKU is in.

I hear ya! Exactly how I felt one year ago.

I would love to see USM or WKU in the NIT, but I don't think it's in the cards. There are too many teams that are going to take spots before they would be considered.

You have to include the best of each conference.

The mid's are what makes this tourney great.

Preseason pick, 2nd in regular season play and makes it to the conference title game. WKU will definitely be in the NIT selection discussion.

I think they'll make the cut.

Objectively, I think WKU has a slight chance of an NIT bid. I’ll say 10%...

Based on the Bassey factor and results in last years NIT...

Going on the numbers for both WKU and Southern Miss, I think it’s not enough. But the factors I described should be in WKU’s favor.
