Spencer Tears mentioned in one article that one change is to a huddle offense. Good change. More organized. Somebody actually looks like they're in charge out there, if nothing else. I found the set, stand up, look around, re-set and then snap of the previous regime a little irritating. It looked like nobody was sure they knew what was about to be going on.

No huddle offenses are great when you have a solid QB. Maybe slowing down the pace for our QB’s will make them better. Time will tell.

Yeah conseeiring how bad the offense was the last couple years I’m fine with changing it up. Doesn’t mean the hurry up wasn’t hugely successful though.

Lynch and Harnish would be great in a No-Huddle or Huddle offense. Its all about the talent. People complained about the play calling when Childers was under center. No one questioned the same play calling when Lynch under center. Lynch > Childers so offense worked.

I am not a Rod Carey-basher, so don't lump me in with anyone else. A critic sometimes, but not a basher. And neither you nor I are taking any snaps. Carey is not the coach any more. THammock is. I was comparing what was to what is.

Here was Tears' comment in the Daily Chronicle: “One adjustment is we’re a huddle offense now, so we get more time to catch our breath. ... Overall, as a coaching staff, they’re all a great staff.”

So if they switched to a huddle offense, THammock has to have his reasons. He thinks it's better, and he's the coach, not you or I. Maybe he'll take the time to explain it sometime. Maybe it's just what he's used to having. I happen to like it for the reasons I said; or, don't like the "stand-up" for those reasons. I want to see something work, hopefully better.

As to how productive the offense has been, the key word is "has." Those games are all back there now. I prefer to look for positive signs of what's to come.

If it’s a high probability you don’t go 3 and out as Lynch had an ability to get past the chains, then hurry all the way. If you struggle like the past couple of years....a hurry up offense is YOUR OWN defenses worst nightmare
