Press Conference Video:

That got me PUMPED!

What I heard: Loud and clear, there is no entrenched starter at the QB position (13:19).

Let the COMPETITION begin and may the best Passer of the Pigskin win.

Love that there’s going to be real competition for positions. The cream will rise to the top. There’s a good chance that this will make us better. Bring that chip back on Huskie shoulders. Makes you excited and nervous for the players at the same time......

Imagine that, not turtling-up before the season even starts.

Does Randy6969 still have inside scoop on the team ? I’m guessing access changes with a new staff....

I interpreted something by Hammock (from his press conference, I think) that there would only be select open practices. I took this to mean that there will no longer be open practices by default.

I assume this first one will not be open.

He was a STUD at RB in high school, selected to the Under Armour All-American Game.

Just wondering if that's confirmed or just rumor.

Huskies Turn in First Practice Under Hammock

Quote:Heading into spring ball, Hammock said it would be open competition at every position. He felt he saw that out of the Huskies Saturday.

Quote:The defense had a solid day. During 7-on-7, the Huskie defensive unit made three interceptions in the span of six plays. Zhamaine March jumped a route and made an impressive interception. A few passes later, Antwain Walker tallied a pick and on the very next pass, Vinny Labus made an athletic play on the ball for an interception. The offense settled in during the team periods and played well.

Would really like to know who threw those three picks. Was it one QB or distributed among two or three of them?

In the lower left hand corner picture. The wideout closest to the camera is J. Hall. On second glance that could be all defense guys and he's just out there mirroring playing offense.

Oh, okay. I was hoping maybe you were there in person and had some inside info for us. Thanks.
