UNCW could have given the Tarheels a run for their money if they didn't have Pierce. They were struggling when he came in the game, and he hit big shot after big shot, took charges and grabbed rebounnds. He was the besst player in blue and I was furious! Geez, he was like a bad dream that came back.

Justin Pierce started for the initial time last night at Va Tech and had a terrific first half as UNC lost again, this time in agonizing style by two points in double overtime (their fourth loss in a row).

Justin scored 13 points and had seven rebounds in the opening half. He played 44 minutes but didn't do much in the second half and OTs, with just two points and some key foul shot misses (his free throw average is below 50% for the season, He did hit several three pointers to raise his 3-pt shooting average into the low 20% area.

He was the old Justin we saw at W&M in the first half.

Pierce scores 5 straight points to help UNC take a 9 point halftime lead over Duke.

I attended the UNCC victory over UTSA, and on the drive home i turned the radio over to the Tar Holes game. Just in time to hear the sequence where Pierce drove to the basket for two and then nailed a three.

I hate the Tar holes, just made me hate them more. Did get a chuckle out of them losing in OT.

Always pull against UNC-CHeat. I won’t pretend Duke is clean, but always pull against UNC-CHeat. Always.

I lived in Wake County for 11 years. I went there agnostic about the three ACC schools in the Triangle. UNC fans were by far the most obnoxious. Much prefer NCSU (loudest fans) and Duke (cleaverset fans) to UNC (most entitled fans).
