IIRC, Elbert did a respectable job against Bassey. If he can do it again it'll sure help. Need BJ to show up in the worst kind of way.

I'd like to see everyone firing on all cylinders but I'd really like to see X play with the confidence and aggressiveness he played with yesterday. I dont care if he picks up a few charges just stay aggressive. If WKU makes adjustments for him maybe that will open up things for BJ.

Everyone needs to embrace the stress and heart attack nature of our games. It’s so hard to do but that’s our team and that’s how we win. It won’t be pretty but we will get it done.

Maybe just nerves but I have a terrible feeling about tonight. They are a talented bunch and we have played like crap for 4 straight games and our best scorer cannot make anything.

We are tough and have a grinding mentality. Hopefully BJ carries us. If he gets hot, its a wrap.

If we win tonight... will we be a "Basketball School" once again?

they're playing the conference champs, who swept them this year. and they're similarly physically fatigued. With a seasoned, senior All-Conference backcourt... and a POY who can "wake up" at any moment and pop 20 pts in a flash.

I have the same feeling. To be honest though, I was more nervous before the LT game than I am now. We have a winning streak for the first time this month, even though it was ugly getting there, and I think the pressure of getting to the champ game as the 1 seed is gone. It's 1 vs 2 now, us against the preseason favorite, grit vs sheer talent.

More than anything, I'd love to be able to participate in selection Sunday. It's been too long.

Fun time of year for college BB fans. Just makes it even better to have your pony in the race. Hoping we play great tonight and enjoy a week with ODU in the tourney conversation.

One thing I hope we do is go straight at Bassey. Both games we rattled him, albeit at home, and I think we have the depth at C to do it again and Lu is the x factor for that.

Don't give them any easy shots. They'll make hard ones, they're that talented.

They played us to 3 pts twice at our place when we were playing a lot better than we are now. Once even getting up 21. They finally get us on a neutral court when we are in a slump, while playing for everything... I’d be pretty confident if I were a Topper. I’ll be cheering hard for the Monarchs, but I also have a bad feeling.

I agree with you that Lu is an important factor in tonight's game. Robinson doesn't play very many minutes, and Dickins isn't bulky or strong enough to match up in the man-to-man against Bassey.

I am hoping to see some zone played tonight by ODU, and more minutes for Kithcart as well. He should have very fresh legs, more than anyone of the regulars on either team.
