I was under the impression most of the bigger companies in the private sector paid severance in order to avoid a potential wrongful termination lawsuit. I've never been fired before and don't ask people who do if they got severance, so I made an assumption.

Still seems like a very sh*tty way to do business and ensure you won't be able to hire or retain the best candidates.

If you work for a big company that has all these HR policies, they will follow them so that you cannot sue them for violating their policies

Hello from the W&M side, since we share the same woes of transfers thought you might like to see this article another poster found from NY Times about NCAA proposing changes to grad transfer rule. Recap:

When a grad transfers for 2019-20 year then they must graduate in the summer of 2020 or the new school will forfeit a scholarship for the 2020-21 school year. P5 schools will still probably go for getting a starter for one year since it is not a bad trade versus bringing in a freshman who is unknown.

agree. I guess my point was this is confirmation that we are!

It sucks being a stepping stone. But at least we're a GOOD stepping stone for coaches and players alike. That'll keep the pipeline of talent coming into this league strong. Now its up to the programs themselves to step up their game in terms of resources and facilities.

For us, the goal is to turn this ship around, get back to the level of success of the Wainwright/Brownell/Keatts days, and eventually get an A-10 invite.

Pipe dream, I know. But I'm an idealist.

Pierce may just be insurance at UNC or may even start/get good minutes, but it's about academics with Pierce as well.

Delaware freshman guard Ithiel Horton has entered the transfer portal, source told ESPN. Averaged 13.2 points and shot 40.9 percent from 3 his first year with the Blue Hens.

This comes as a huge surprise... I was expecting the Blue Hens to be highly competitive next season. While they should still be top 5 in the CAA, this is a big hit to their conference championship hopes.

Huge hit. Homeboy could go off and did so in Trask. Glad not to see him again but feel for the Hens. He had a big attitude that night for sure and why not? Nobody could stop those 3 balls when rolling and he could hit tough shots too.
