Id love to beat Gregg Marshall again. Then again he should have been named Marshall's head coach in 2007. Gregg Marshall was to interview for the job on April 8th 2007, would have only been his 2nd interview, he interviewed for the VCU job the previous year that went to current Dayton HC Anthony Grant.

But for some inexplicable reason our wonderful AD at the time Bob Marcum cut 3 interviews (Gregg Marshall, Pat Kelsey, Bruiser Flint). And instead hired Florida Asst. Donnie Jones on April 7th.

The thing is had Gregg Marshall been hired at Marshall we may have never had Dan, Marshall was hired at Wichita State on April 12, 2007 and hasn't looked elsewhere since then.

No they aren’t

SMU is no where and no one.... So who give a crap...

Back in your rightful place. Paying coaches exorbitant amounts of money to have losing records. The NCAA probably should have given you the death penalty for just hiring Larry Brown and his house of cards.

According to our beat writer, UTSA was invited to the CBI and CIT tournaments, but we turned them both down. I could definitely be wrong, but I have a hunch that Henson left the decision up to our players and let 'em take a vote. Maybe they were just too disappointed with the way the season ended.

Who’s our opponent for Tuesday night?

So would it be CBS Sports again? (That channel seems to be plastered on the tournament website, man I hope not.)

Marshall is playing IUPUI. Game is being streamed on WatchCIT.com, looks like its being produced by Marshall's production staff.

RE: Marshall accepts bid to host CIT game
No one has posted it, but FAU is also in the CIT - playing at Charleston Southern.

So, for the record, Marshall is the only CUSA team that paid the money to become a tournament host. Collectively, basketball programs like Longwood, Brown, Charleston Southern, and Texas State showed more faith in their fans than did Southern Miss, UAB, FAU, and FIU.

Maybe that's just me.

RE: Marshall accepts bid to host CIT game
What an embarrassment to this conference in CBI and CBA tournament..The field in these second rate tournaments are a joke..To make matters worse and embarrass conference even more, reallly UAB at Brown, FAU At a high school and Southern Miss at Longeood? Longwood, you guys cannot even get a home game? Complete joke! Anyone bragging about wining these games shouldn’t waste anyone’s time on here posting a score...

Good for you and i am sure you guys will easily recoup those costs given the good attendance numbers that you constantly draw.

It's kind of cool that it's the Jim Phelan classic (even though he has no ties to Marshall, I guess you guys might be the closest school to PA where he's from?). He actually turns 90 tomorrow. I don't know if he'll be at your game, but he was the head coach at Mount St. Mary's for 49 years before retiring in 2003.
