Damn. And I thought I was pessimistic about this team.
Ha, yeah. I expected to win this series, just like every conference series, despite our struggles.
I don't know if I necessarily expected to win the series going in...but thought there was little to no chance of getting swept.
After remembering the fact that we are playing on a field with high school dimensions, especially to right field, I actually do expect us to win the series.
Every time we play there, I'm shocked at how small it is.
The Pete is considered a hitter's park because of the 365 alleys--even though it goes long (340) down the lines and 400 to CF with a big wall.
Well, "The Love Shack" goes 340 (!!) to the RC alley, 325 down the RF line, and just 385 to center.
No excuse for us not putting 7-8 out of the park this weekend
Rumor has it that left center isn’t 365. Closer to 350 range but we wanted the dimensions to match so we put it in left center as 365 to match right center.

Hoard must be dumb as nails. Geez.
But yeah, this looks like the lineup and Blaylock is making a huge impact on it.

We tagged him last year when he started. Made it 3 innings. I believe we took him deep a few times.
2 innngs, 4 ERs so far with the runners on 2 and 3 on him, that 8.31 ERA going into the game is now probably closer to a 10.00 ERA

Scored 3 runs and still had the bases loaded only to see our 7/8/9 hitters get out to end the rally. At least we got those 3 though.

If Hoard knew what he was doing on the bases or at least watch the 3rd base coach, we would have had at least 1 and prob 2 more runs.

Outside of 7-8 year old children on the spectrum, I’ve never heard someone more enamored with trains than John Cox.
Glad that Cox got to Ruston for this series. I know how much he enjoys saying the “Love Shack” when we play there.

we're rolling along, but you know SOMEWHERE we are gonna have that ugly inning where La tech closes the gap or even ties it up...
Hope not, but....

Hoard thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double.
Wallner doubles.
Blaylock lines out to right and Wallner takes off, nearly doubled up.
Glad we have more guys reaching base, as it gives us more opportunities to show off our always superior base running.

Control problems now. Feels like Powers is about to serve one up here.
