Supposedly 50% of Millennials support socialism. I would imagine a good percentage of that 50% are living in mom and dad's basement freeloading at age 21-30 off of their parents. Why work when the Democrats promise you everything free.

This reasoning is precisely why the government under Obama's administration mandated that dependents could stay under the umbrella of their parents' insurance up until I believe the age of 26. It further institutionalizes the idea that responsibility isn't necessary and you can rely on someone else. It was accomplished under the guise of college-age dependents needing assistance but in fact will translate well to "Mom and Dad can no longer pay my way, now I need the gov't to do it because I've become accustomed to it and so it is a necessary right."

I stated this weeks ago in a different thread.. We've seen a recent socialist program implemented and fail on a large scale just recently. It was the ACA.
Think about it.
It was a government ran program that ensured everyone had insurance if not you paid a fine.
It was also a tax if not, the IRS wouldn't had been involved.
And the price for those working was extremely high so it could cover those who didn't have a job. (Redistribution of wealth).
However, like all government ran programs, it wasn't successful. I mean the website wasn't functional. The costs there were higher than private insurance and the care provided wasn't worthwhile.
