1965?! Wow! You ARE an old fart clubber. And I thought it was just me, a fan since 1973. But hey, the great things about being a member of the OFC is that we have proven our loyalty, dedication and perhaps a little craziness. And we stuck with it. (Now spraining arm patting self on back).

Thanks pvk75-I enjoy your posts and insights into the women’s b-ball program. I look forward to future discussions with you on that program. Our Huskies seem to have an older fan base particularly in both men’s and women’s b-ball.

Great article on 2019 WBB recruit Grace Hunter from Belmont H.S. in Indiana. She seems to have many of the same characteristics as another Indiana high school product, Ally Lehman.

RE: WBB info on WNIT
Here are three incoming I found on Blue Star, including Ms. Hunter. All are listed as 2019 commits to NIU:

Chelby Koker, 5'6", G/G , WI , Shoreland Lutheran, Midwest Elite
Grace Hunter, 5'10", F, IN, Belmont High School, Always 100
A'jah Davis, 6'1", F, IL, Montverde Academy, Hoop Dreams

I thought someone posted something about some incoming who was supposed to enroll early but didn't. Not sure who that was.

Davis: https://mvasports.com/news/2019/2/4/girl...-week.aspx

Tried to find something on Ms. Koker, but kept getting blocked by a subscibe-or-else overlay. Did find out last season she scored 32, 39, 43 and 47 points this spring, and was named to an all-area first team. Also 24th girl in state history to score 2,000 pts.

WNIT Elite 8. Last one standing from the MAC. With Buffalo and CMU getting knocked out of the NCAA, and KSU, Toledo, Miami-0hio out of the WNIT, be nice to have a small feather in the conference cap.

MAC still a tough wbb conference.

Video of Koker. She's the one doing all the shooting, scoring. You have to wade through a video ad first.

Good video pvk75...shades of Presley Hudson? Let’s hope so.

RE: WBB info on recruiting (was info on WNIT)
I hope you all don't mind, but NIU didn't get to the WNIT, and we seem to have turned to positives about recruiting and the future. So ... my apologies ... I added recruiting to the thread title. I just thought it would have more interest to more fans. We have assembled some pretty good info, and I thought it might get lost.

Reviving my 1st grade math skills ... with the three listed above, plus Courtney Woods and Janae Poisson coming back (hopefully) from injury, minus Mikayla Voigt (big loss), plus who's on the official roster ... that's 15 for 2019-20.

Ohio women got beat by Northwestern 61-58 in the NIT over the weekend and I believe that eliminates all MAC teams now.

Sorry to hear that hopefully she is not a senior and has other opportunities

Davis is the daughter of “Noopie” Thigpen who played for the Huskies 1995-97. Her high school coach was E.C. Hill, Huskie Hall of Fame.

I’m pretty sure I read that she is actually from DeKalb and her brother graduated from DeKalb High School and played college ball somewhere.
