apologies if this has already been answered, but what's up with Comeaux out of the lineup last night and tonight? Hopefully nothing serious?

Turns out Gayle isn’t any better starting than he is relieving.

Down 0-2 as Gayle gives up a single and double to the #7 and #9 hitters, both currently batting under .150. Runner on 2B, one out, and the top of the order is up in top of 2nd. So much for those who content that Gayle's only issue is one of control.

not fooling anyone, apparently. Double drives in a run (who led off with a single). Man on 2nd with one out.

Gayle escapes with no further damage, and Dunny (the OD--the Original Dunlap) leads off with a single

Why the heck are Duluc and, especially, Brewer, hitting ahead of Edwards?

Do we lead the country in players being thrown out at home?

Good grief-- 3 singles in the same inning and we can't score. Dunny thrown out at the plate. I think that makes the 5th or 6th guy we've had gunned down at the plate so far this year....and none have been close.

Nice, quiet 1-2-3 inning for Gayle. Well done. Now let's keep hitting this guy

Hopeless, Back-to-back 2-out singles by Gneitting and Russell, followed by a HBP (Dunlap again) to load the bases, and Duluc strikes out on 3 pitches for the second consecutive time. The Tx State pitcher now has more strikeouts in 3 innings (5) than he had coming into tonight's game over 9.2 innings.

We've struck out 7 times in 4 innings against a total nothing pitcher.
