Was told he is living in Hoover. Hopefully he lands a good coaching job. I've enjoyed his work when I've seen him on SEC Network. Seems like a great guy.

I think he has a daughter that goes to Auburn. The rumor 6 months or so ago (from an Auburn board) was that he bought a house and was going to take this season off, and then either be an assistant or, if UAB moved on, try to be the UAB HC. He's been to at least 2 UAB games this season.

I've recently seen him mentioned for the Tulane job (assuming that opens), and that seems like it would be a good spot for him.

If we came up with the cash to buy our current coach out I would hope we would have a real coaching search and not just hand it over to Kennedy. If he ends up being HC so be it. That said we have a coach and no one is stepping up to buy him out but that could change.

Or it won’t.

An assistant BB coach at AU has been suspended because of a problem at a previous school. Would Andy consider it worthy to work there to have time with BBHC Pearl on his resume?

You didn't feel that way about Ehsan, though - did you?

We had a coaching search. HCRE was not my first choice. Out of what was on the coaching search list HCRE was the best choice. Plus HCBC was behind the hire as well.

Why would our football coach be behind hiring a college basketball coach?

Why would Clark having anything to do with a basketball search?

Either you take this year & build on it the next 2 to 3 years or you scrap it & take 4 years to get anywhere close to back to this point.

He was not "behind" the hire he supported the HCRE hire. Perhaps I should have elaborated more. He was behind him getting the job in a support sense. hey I'm behind HCBC and what he does! .

We were fifth in C-USA. Take away two botched officiating jobs in conference and a major injury they could have been better. Not to mention a stretch we had three players injured and one with the flue.

& it doesn't really matter where you end up in the regular season in CUSA (although the bye would have been extremely nice).

Just peeing in the wind until conference tournament time. Winner takes all. Losers go home.

It does help though that you are playing your best ball around conference tournament time which we may be doing.

We split with the top 4 teams. Not sure how we could expect much more than that on the top side.

I think we would be top two if we stayed completely healthy FWIW. Your right it doesn't really matter in this league and the sooner we get out the better. Our fans need to get their head out of their ass and show up to games and stop acting like Gumps.

Good news is regardless of who the coach is we should be better next season and I think we lose Hurtado and sign three more. I know folks want to sign another big but I don't think its as critical as getting two more guys that can light it up from behind the arc. Scoff all you want but Jude will turn some heads next season.

Because showing up and having a decent attendance is what we need to get out of the conference and/or bump up in coaching level at some future point.
