You can hear when the horn goes off in the other court but not anything else (except the bands) for the most part. Players don’t seem to be bothered at all.

[Women] Up by two, UTEP commits a foul with 1.7 seconds left. Marshall hits both to tie it up, 46-46. Heading to OT.

A big 4thQ got UTEP in the lead but they only made 1-2 and Marshall got shot off but fouled on the rebound...made both FTs and forced OT. UTEP forgot to bring their timekeeper so they actually had to get a shot off in1.7 seconds.

Double OT on a great last second drive for a 3 ft bank shot by UTEP.

UTEP, which has dressed only seven players, has three players with four fouls.

Edit: And one of them fouls out.

UTEP closes it out to win 64-56. Really gutty performances by underdog UTEP and Charlotte.

The 11 seed UTEP winning was an upset. But not Charlotte. They were the 7 seed and are the league's 2nd hottest team with a 6-game win streak that includes a win over 2 seed UAB and two wins over 6 seed Old Dominion.

I know the Star isn’t the same as NRG but it is still configured like a football field.

The Star isn't a particularly good venue for anything, but adequate for a number of roles. It reminds me of the Alamo Dome in that regard - probably the best kind of investment for a general purpose facility, but not a great fan experience for any of them.

Louisiana Tech comes from way down to beat Florida Atlantic in the first men's game of the evening. FAU had 2 FT's at the end of the game to tie it but missed the 2nd one so they lost by a point.

Having said that and gone to the game last night, the Star does seem to be a low-budget Alamo Dome, as best I can recall from the actual Alamo Dome.
